We’re a small team with excellent relationships with the mobile phone networks and we can get queries answered quickly and effectively. When you call us you’ll speak to a real person straight away – someone who knows you, understands your needs and can get you what you want with a minimum of fuss. We check and double-check your coverage Changing network providers can occasionally cause an upset in the coverage you receive but as part of our service, we make sure that your transition is seamless. Firstly we check all the postcodes that you make frequent calls from with your new network provider and ensure that they have coverage in your area – if they don’t, we’ll let you know and give you some other options. Secondly, before you transfer to your new network we’ll send you a loan SIM so you can check that your phone gets a signal and that you are not locked to your current network. This is a service that is unique to The Buying Club – no mobile operator will offer you this service directly. You keep your existing numbers – we manage the changeover There’s a common misconception that you have to change your number when changing your network provider. While this used to be the case, new regulations mean that network providers have to allow you to keep your existing number. There’s another misconception: that it’s difficult and complicated to make the changeover to your new network. Actually “porting” (as the process of transferring your existing number to a new network is known) is actually relatively straightforward. With The Buying Club you don’t need to worry about it at all – we’ll take care of the whole process of porting, guiding you step-by-step through what you need to do (which is actually very little).
